Why Pruning Your Trees
is Important

It’s almost that time to start getting your yard ready for the warmer weather and the summer storms that come with it. A tree should be refreshed at least once a year to remove dead or unhealthy limbs. Removing these limbs will help to benefit the tree.

Benefits of Pruning
Pruning your trees is the best thing that can be done to help a tree stay healthy. We recommend that this is done once a year before budding season is in full swing.
  • Removing damaged or unhealthy limbs increases plant health.
  • Removing these limbs allows for more sunlight to reach the tree.
  • Removing dead or damaged limbs will increase your safety.
  • Removing old limbs will increase the growth of new ones.
A horrible Spring or Summer thunder storm could have heavy winds that result in a damaged limb falling off. If you’re lucky the limb will hit the ground and it won’t be a problem. If you aren’t so lucky, the limb could hit your house, car, shed, or neighbors property resulting in a big headache. Your safety is our #1 concern. We would much rather you call us to remove the limb beforehand than hear you or your property were damaged because of a tree.

When is the best time to prune trees?
Before budding season is in full swing is the best time to prune trees. Having your trees cleaned up and ready to go before budding season will allow for them to grow in full and stay healthy. Now this doesn’t mean this is the only time your can prune your trees or clean them up. Limbs and trees can be removed anytime during the year. We just recommend that doing it before budding season will help them to look their best.
